The only Portuguese producer of scissors

The “Loja da Tesoura” online shop was born from the idea of promoting the products manufactured by the company Serafim Fertuzinhos SA, owner of the Carpa and Batil brands and the only Portuguese producer of scissors.

Serafim Fertuzinhos is a family-owned industrial company with over 65 years of existence. It is present in more than 30 countries around the world, in places as diverse as Canada, Chile, South Korea, Egypt, Morocco or South Africa. Since 2009, it owns also a commercial company in Brazil, to exclusively serve that market, which has enormous potential.

We manufacture more than 50 types of scissors that we separate into 2 commercial brands, CARPA, which includes the scissors and tools most suitable for agriculture and gardening, and BATIL, which predominantly covers textile scissors and kitchen utensils.

With an installed production capacity of more than 2 million pieces/year, we are able to respond to the most demanding customer requests. All product development is done in-house and we control the entire manufacturing process, from steel forging to packaging.
